Chasing Ataraxia
Eight works by Nastia Gladushchenko presented by Day Gallery Blackheath
This body of work is born from fragments of memory, old film photographs from my childhood on the shores of the Black Sea in the 90โs. I return to those days of togetherness and peace: bikinis, the gentle lapping sound of the waves, home cooked food spread on a blanket and the sea shimmering like glass in the golden light.
Through these images, I celebrate the simple, radiant beauty of life, its colors, its chaos, its tenderness. Each piece is a love letter to Odessa and its beaches; a place where joy felt effortless and every day shimmered with possibility.
